Comprehensive child autism assessment
Clinicians involved: Paediatrician
and/or Clinical Psychologist

  • 1 hour pre-assessment clinical review

Results:

Gold standard assessment that is useful to gain diagnostic clarification of Autism Spectrum Disorder.  All information collected, including the paediatric review and assessment process will be presented against the DSM-5 criteria in the comprehensive report provided.

Adult autism assessment
ADOS-only
Clinicians involved: Clinical Psychologist
Hours involved:
  • Pre-assessment questionnaire
  • Possible clinical review prior to your appointment (extra cost and billed separately)
  • Approx 1-2 hours ADOS assessment and clinical investigation
  • Approx 2 hours report writing
Assessment details:
  • Pre-assessment questionnaire
  • Clinical Interview and ADOS-2 assessment
  • Report writing
  • Findings to assist a diagnosis
  • Recommended for people who are already seeing a health professional for support.
Results:

Gold standard assessment that is useful to gain diagnostic clarification of Autism Spectrum Disorder.  All information collected, including the review and assessment process will be presented with information from the pre-assessment screening questionnaires filled out by the participant.

Child/Adolescent ADHD assessments
Clinicians involved: Paediatrician and/or Clinical Psychologist.
Hours involved depending on referral and existing assessments:
  • 1 hour pre-assessment clinical review
  • Approx 4-6 hours assessment and clinical investigation
  • Approx 4 hours report writing
Assessment details:
  • Pre-assessment questionnaires
  • Clinical interview
  • Functional and cognitive screening (if needed)
  • Report writing
  • Additional interviews with others (inc. teachers, coaches, or other people close to the client if needed)
  • Recommendations
Results:

A comprehensive evaluation that clearly identifies an individual’s strengths and challenges. All information will be presented against DSM-5 criteria and align with best practice Australian clinical guidelines for ADHD. The comprehensive report will be sent to your referring clinician for follow up treatment.

Comprehensive Adult autism assessment
Clinicians involved: Clinical or General Psychologist
Hours involved:
  • Pre-assessment questionnaires & clinical review prior to your appointment
  • 1-2 hours ADOS assessment and reporting
  • Approx 2-3 hours clincial interviews and investigation
  • Approx 2-3 hours report writing

  • Additional screening test where necessary
  • Report writing
  • Diagnosis and Recommendations
Results:

Gold standard assessment that will provide diagnostic clarification of Autism Spectrum Disorder.  All information collected, including the review and assessment process will be presented against the DSM-5 criteria in the comprehensive report provided. Extra reports such as evidence required for the NDIS will incur an additional fee.

Cognitive assessments

Results:

Reports will identify the strength and weaknesses of an individual and provide an accurate profile of an individual’s overall intellectual functioning or IQ level. The report can be used to explore learning difficulties, identify giftedness and assist in developing appropriate strategies and recommendations.

Assessments include:

WISC V, WIAT III, WPSSI II, ASRS, Conners, ABAS and others.

  • Short Consultation - $300 (60 mins)
  • Long Consultation - $450 (90 mins)
Paediatric fees range between:
  • Initial Appointments (45-90mins) $450 - $680
  • Follow up consultations (30-45mins) $300 - $450
  • Complex consultations (60-90mins)  $680 - $750
  • Review consultations (30-60mins) $300 - 680
  • Report writing may incur an extra charge
Information:

Our fees are based on the time spent with you during your consultation and the complexity of the service provided. All fees attract medicare rebates.

We consider the Australian Medical Association fee schedule for specialist practitioners when setting our rates. The Australian Psychologists Society recommends an hourly rate of $300 ph for Clinical Psychologists.

Fees vary depending on your specific needs. We do not generally bulk bill, and payment is due at your appointment.

Referrals & Medicare

A referral from your paediatrician, psychiatrist or GP is necessary for an autism or ADHD assessment and will need to be provided a week before your appointment.

For an adult autism assessment we will require a referral from either a GP or psychiatrist.

Please note: Medicare rebates for autism assessments are only available for people under the age of 25 years old. Otherwise, with a referral to psychologist you will receive a single rebate of between $93.85 and $137.05

Cancellation fees:

Due to a high demand for assessments, we request that you give adequate notice in case of cancellation or rescheduling, so the appointment slot can be made available to others.

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment we reserve the right to charge you 50% of your appointment fee.

There is no fee for cancellations or a request for rescheduling if done more than 48 hours before the appointment.

The Australian Psychological Society recommends an hourly rate for psychological services of $300-$310 (2023-2024 financial year).
