Referrals & Medicare

A referral from your paediatrician, psychiatrist or GP is necessary for an autism or ADHD assessment and will need to be provided a week before your appointment.

For an adult autism assessment we will require a referral from either a GP or psychiatrist. For a definitive diagnosis please refer to our explainer HERE.

Please note: Medicare rebates for autism assessments are only available for people under the age of 25 years old. Otherwise, with a referral to psychologist you will receive a single rebate of between $93.85 and $137.05

Due to a high demand for assessments, we request that you give adequate notice in case of cancellation or rescheduling, so the appointment slot can be made available to others.

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment we reserve the right to charge you 50% of your appointment fee.

There is no fee for cancellations or a request for rescheduling if done more than 48 hours before the appointment.
